Description
Loctated in the unspoilt Hohe Tauern National Park, Rauris was once a small gold mining town. It is a pretty village which features many old buildings adding character to the centre of the resort which has a selcetion of shops, cafes and bars. The neighbouring valleys are of unspoilt countryside, home to some of the highest mountains in Austria. The resort has a good choice of activities and excursions on offer as well as outdoor swimming pool, bowling alley and panning for gold in the clear glacial streams that flow through the village.
